How to Apply

Parents are welcome to submit new student applications at any time. To apply for admission to our schools for the 2019-2020 school year, complete and submit the New Student Application form to the school office, along with all required documentation as outlined on our 2019-2020 Tuition & Fees Schedule. Applications and accompanying documentation may be mailed or emailed to rssregistration@shaw.ca. Please note that school tuition and fees are payable upon acceptance, not at time of application. Due to the number of applications, the Admissions Committee will only be contacting families to schedule an interview when a seat becomes available.  

Information Sessions for Parents

Each year we hold information sessions where you can learn more about our school's philosophy and program. These sessions are for parents wishing to enroll their children for the 2019-2020 school year only. Please note that Kindergarten students must be born in 2014 to be eligible for enrollment.


Parent Information Sessions for primary students (Kindergarten to Grade Three) will be held at 9:30 a.m. in January and February as follows:

     Thursday, January 17, 2019 (THIS SESSION IS NOW FULL)

     Wednesday, January 23, 2019 (THIS SESSION IS NOW FULL)

     Wednesday, February 6, 2019 (THIS SESSION IS NOW FULL)

     Wednesday, February 20, 2019


Please note space is limited for each session, and that attendance at a Parent Information Session is not a requirement for acceptance into our school. 


If you are interested in attending a Parent Information Session, please fill out the Inquiry Form on our website. Your information will be entered into our registration database, and you will be notified when our information and forms for the 2019-2020 school year are available on our website.


These information sessions are for parents only.  Accepted student will have the opportunity to visit the school at a later date.

Class Visits

Each year we generally have a few spaces become available in the older grades. When a space does become available, we arrange an individual class visit and parent meeting at that time. The idea is for parents to learn more about our school's philosophy and program, and for us to meet you.

New Student Application Checklist

 Please note that we are unable to process incomplete applications. A complete student application will include the following:
Completed New Student Application form

  • A copy of the student’s most recent report card (current year), in addition to copies of all the student’s reports for the year immediately preceding the application year
  • A copy of the student’s birth certificates or passports, and immigration documents if applicable
  • A copy of the parents’ birth certificates or passports, and immigration documents if applicable
  • A copy of any court order appointing legal guardianship or regarding care/custody of the student

Upon acceptance, the following is required to confirm enrollment for the 2019-2020 school year:

  • A $350 non-refundable Entrance Fee paid by cheque or cash
  • Tuition payment:
    • Full Fees Option: Paid by cheque or cash at the time of registration
    • OR
    • 5-Payment Option: A cheque or cash for the first tuition payment plus PAD Processing Fee, completed Payer’s PAD Agreement + accompanying void cheque for the four (4) pre-authorized debit (PAD) tuition installment withdrawals
  • A Consolidated Technology, Resource & Bus (CTRB) Fee paid by cash or cheque post-dated April 1, 2019; refer to 2019-20 Tuition & Fee Schedule for amount.
